REMARKS

Family of our native Kibra Hacha tree and the Ceder tree. T. caraïba has an asymmetrical growth habit. Flowering period is about 10 days. Foliage is not very dense which helps it to handle the wind a lot. Do not water too often other wise it will grow too fast.Like all Tabebuias it is an excellent tree for Curaçao. Its corky bark and sliver green leaves makes it an extra interesting tree. A bunch of them are planted on the 'Handelskade' in Punda.
