Adonidia merrillii or Manilla palm

Seeds of this Adonidia germinate quickly (unlike many other palm seeds) which is probably the reason for its many uses. It is easy to grow. In addition, it can withstand our wind and is quite drought tolerant. Often used as a 'double' or 'triple'. The trunk diameter does not exceed 10-15 cm (4-6 inch). The palm can reach 6 m (20ft) high. The fruits turn red when they ripen. Flowers (white) attract bees.
