Bougainvillea 'Flame'
Like most Bougainvilleas, 'Flame' in Curaçao blooms all year round.
This species and the other varieties in this group ('Fire Opal', 'Ruby' and 'Topaz Gold') initially grow wide over the ground and then grow upwards. Many therefore think it is a dwarf species.
Iguanas love Bougainvilleas, which is the biggest pest for this plant.
Bougainvillea can withstand the wind and is very drought tolerant. Older shrubs hardly need any water.
Plant her in full sun.
