Cordia curassavica or Basora Pretu
The Basora Pretu is not used much in gardens while it is an ideal plant for this. It forms a perfect hedge by it self if planted as such. Withstands wind and drought very well therefor needs little or no water. We mainly use it in large projects (hotels and resorts). Would be excellent to use along roadsides and in public areas.
Flowering in a spike-shaped terminal inflorescence (an inflorescence that arises from the stem, not from the axil (leaf base)). The fruits are small berries that change coloor from dark red to black.
