Hyophorbe verschaffeltii or 'Spindle palm'

Hyophorbe verschaffeltii or 'Spindle palm' has 8 to 10 leaves which are light green. Leaves straight up, and don't have a drooping appearance. The base of the leaves around the trunk is green/grey to green.

The inflorence grows from the trunk under the leaves.

The fruits (seeds) are black when ripe.

The trunk thickens in the middle of the trunk.
