Ixora casei 'Super King' of 'Red King'

Ixora casei 'Super King' aka 'Red King' is one of many Ixora's. It has a deep red color and can grow up to 2 meters (6,5ft). Is widely used as a hedge and blooms all year round. Its leaves are sensitive to the constant east wind and are damaged by this.

On Curaçao the Ixora's suffer from the alkaline soil and high pH in the tap water. The leaves become yellow as a result.

Some times an aphid occurs and occasionally the roots are affectedby a nematode.
